Off-Grid Voltage-boosting Circuit

For the ordinary turbine controller, the output power can be charged into the battery only when the rotation speed of wind turbine is near the rated one, so the utilization efficiency of wind turbine is not satisfied. For the wind turbine controller developed by our company, as there is a voltage boosting circuit inside, the charging voltage will be maintained at around DC110V despite the voltage of power generated by the wind turbine. Even when the rotation speed of wind turbine is only 294 r/min (the voltage under this rotation speed is DC59 V), the voltage of this power will be boosted into DC110V and charged into battery. As long as the rotation speed is above 294 r/min, the power generated by wind turbine can be utilized, increasing the efficiency of turbine and loosening the criteria for turbine installation site. More over, as the charging method is constant voltage /limited current, the battery can be well protected from being damaged.

The 2KW Direct charging controller features a streamlined shape, but has a comparatively lower charging efficiency because of the lack of voltage boosting circuit; it is cheaper and most suitable for use in a windy area.
