Introduction

Nitrogen /Oxygen Plant based on membrane separation is an alternative to Nitrogen /Oxygen Plant based on pressure swing adsorption, similarly competitive for small and medium scale of application due to flexibility and scalability. Membrane Modular design and simple structure make membrane plants smaller and easier to install. Valve-free design makes them much quieter and reliable. Automatic control mode enable them work without any supervision.
Due to variable solubility and proliferation factors, different gasses in the air penetrate the membrane at different rates, leading to their separation. Based on their diffusion rates, the gasses in the air fall into one of two categories: “rapid gas” or “slow gas.” After being purified (to remove oil, water, and dust), the air will pass through the membrane in order to create a separation of the gasses. The “rapid gasses,” oxygen, carbon dioxide, and some vapors, will be the first to infiltrate the membrane barrier, and exit through a discharge port under pressure. Because nitrogen is characterized as a “slow gas,” it will flow from the gas collector at the end of the pressure box, and finally enter a buffer tank where it will be stored.
